 Pastor Joel came to Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church in 2016. He previously was pastor of Sandy Creek

Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC for 12 years and prior to that pastor of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Faison, NC for 7 years. 

He and his wife Teresa have two children, Michael and Michelle, and two grandchildren, Landon and Kitt.

 I believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit, lived a perfect and sinless life,

shed His blood and died on a cross to redeem us from our sins, rose from the grave conquering sin,

death and hell, and is coming again as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

 I believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word and was given through

the moving and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

It is unique in the entire world, without fault or error, infallible, and complete.

I believe the Bible was given by God to man in order to reveal Himself to us, to convince and    
convict all men of their sins, and to point to Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son,

as the One and only hope for salvation and a restored relationship with God the Father.

It also serves as a guide for every aspect of living a life that is pleasing to our Lord

and thus pointing others to Him.

 I believe the local church is God’s vehicle for proclaiming salvation for the lost,

making disciples of the saved, and promoting God’s kingdom on earth.
